We have few opportunities today of shooting film, and this project was one of them: a touching realistic guerrilla story, in black and white. We didn’t think twice. We let ourselves be guided by our romantic spirit and started shooting in 16mm. Again, the experience of nail-bitingly waiting for the developed material; and again realising that what your eyes had seen was totally different now, completely organic, better.

From the beginning, the project was approached with a documentary structure. We wanted to capture the emotion of football supporters, immerse ourselves in real spaces, among the crowds in a stadium. I remember the nerves and emotion of the Saturday we were allowed to shoot inside the Camp Nou. More and more people coming in, silent corridors during the match’s 90 minutes and great cheers after each goal (Barça 6-0 Getafe).

This story has pushed us to observe the fervour and passion that millions of people feel for this sport. A feeling that was coloured in white, and in red and blue. Next Saturday April 2nd is the big day. It will be an unrepeatable and unforgettable match, especially for all FC Barcelona supporters, who will pay homage to Johan Cruyff, someone who made history in football and in the souls of many of its fans.

Just one day to go before El Clásico, one day to go before a Barça-Madrid we hope we’ll be unique and #untaggable!
