Mireia Pujol has years of experience in the advertisement world. She has worked in campaigns for Audi, Coca-Cola, Dewar’s, Vodafone, Brugal, Once, Mapfre and El Corte Inglés. Her professional career gave a 180-degree turn when she travelled to the border of Melilla to film Diary of Hunger, a 16mm documentary about illegal immigrants that try to make it to the border in the hope of reaching Europe. Since then, she’s thrown herself in social projects to look into the saddest side of society and show her compromise as filmmaker.
