The central focus of Anna et Salomé is the Mediterranean. Developed from a personal project which allowed Cañameras to reflect on the environment he grew up around, the images were captured in various locations along the Costa Brava in Spain and on the French island of Corsica. Shot between June 2012 and March 2013 these beautiful and striking photographs function on both an abstract and geological level, and can be viewed as part survey, part celebration and part meditation.
