Biografía

Although Pablo Larcuen is a director, he spends most of his time writing. This has a clear effect on his work: his writings are very visual and his directing always emphasizes the narrative and the emotion. His forte is combining humor with drama and creating heartfelt moments through quirky or weird situations.

While in film school, he wrote and directed two short films that earned him many selections and awards in some of the most prestigious film festivals: Sundance, Los Angeles, Clermont-Ferrand… It was at Clermont-Ferrand where he was asked to adapt a short story by Boris Vian as part of a collection of shorts produced for french national TV under the supervision of Michel Gondry. In 2013, his technical curiosity, made him shoot one the first films ever shot on a cell-phone. It premiered at the Official Selection of the Sitges Film Festival and was co-produced by renowned filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra. Larcuen then decided to begin his career in adverstising, where he has used his creative and dramatic approach to direct commercials internationally for brands such as Amazon, Mtv, Volkwagen, and KFC.

Pablo is currently based in Los Angeles, where he paints weird neon characters while working on several narrative projects.
